Constantine the Great

Born around 272 CE, Constantine rose to power after a series of civil wars and emerged as sole ruler of the Roman Empire by 324 CE. He issued the Edict of Milan, granting religious tolerance to Christians, and used faith as a unifying force for political and cultural renewal.
